What "Seamless" Actually Means

A seamless gutter is not a product you buy off a shelf. It is made in your driveway. We bring the roll-forming machine and a coil of pre-finished aluminum to your home, measure each run of roofline, and form the gutter to that exact length in one continuous piece. A 42-foot eave gets a 42-foot gutter.

Sectional gutters from a hardware store come in 10-foot lengths joined with seams and sealant every few feet. Every one of those seams is a place for water to find a way out, and in Bend, where the sealant goes through dozens of freeze and thaw cycles a winter, they do. With seamless gutters the only joints are at the corners, and we miter and seal those by hand.

Fewer seams means fewer leaks, no drip lines on the siding, and a cleaner look along the fascia. That is why seamless is the standard for gutter installation in Bend and why it is the only kind we install.

Profiles & Sizes / 02

Gutter Profiles We Install

Two profiles, two sizes. Which one your home needs depends on roof pitch, the size of each roof plane, and how the house is trimmed. Paul will walk you through it at the estimate.

  1. 01

    5" K-Style

The standard for most Central Oregon homes. The flat back sits tight to the fascia and the decorative front edge looks like crown molding from the street. Handles normal roof runoff on single-story and most two-story homes.

  2. 02

    6" K-Style

Oversized for roofs that move a lot of water fast: steep pitches, long runs, metal roofs, and big gables that drain into a single gutter. The extra inch carries noticeably more water than 5-inch and is less likely to overflow during spring melt.

  3. 03

    5" and 6" Fascia-Style

A tall, flat-faced profile that doubles as the fascia board. Common on homes with exposed rafter tails or modern trim lines where a clean, straight face looks right.

  4. 04

    Downspouts & Corners

Oversized downspouts placed where the water actually collects, not just where the old ones were. Corners are mitered on site and sealed by hand. Downspouts can tie straight into underground drainage so roof water lands well away from the foundation.

Over 40 Colors, Finished by Sherwin-Williams

The aluminum coil we run is factory-finished with Sherwin-Williams coil coatings, so the color is baked on, not painted on after the fact. Choose from more than 40 options, from 30 Degree White to Black, Evergreen, and Rustic Copper. Match your trim, your roof, or your window frames. Bring a sample to the estimate or ask to see the full chart.

Hung for Central Oregon Snow, Wind, and Sun

Gutters that work fine in Portland do not survive here without a few changes. Every seamless install we do includes them as standard practice, not as an upcharge.

Snow-Load Hangers

When a roof sheds snow, the gutter takes the hit. We use heavy hidden hangers sized for Central Oregon snow and space them closer together than the national minimum, so the gutter does not bow or pull away when a slab of snow lets go.

Screwed-In Fastening

Hangers are screwed into the rafter tails, not spiked into the fascia. Spikes work loose with every freeze and thaw and every gust across the high desert. Screws stay put for the life of the gutter.

Pitch That Drains

A gutter that looks level holds standing water, and standing water freezes. We set each run with a slight fall toward the downspout so melt water keeps moving and the gutter dries out between storms.

Ready for Screens and Heat Cable

Many Bend homes sit under ponderosa and lodgepole. We install Firewise gutter screens and ice melt heat cable in the same visit, so the new gutters stay clear of needles and ice from the first winter on.

How It Goes / 04

From Estimate to Finished Roofline

  • 1. Free on-site estimate. Paul measures every run, checks the fascia, and talks through profile, size, color, and downspout placement. You get a real number, not a range.
  • 2. Scheduling. Because the gutters are formed on site, there is no factory lead time. Most jobs are scheduled within a couple of weeks, sooner in the off-season.
  • 3. Old gutters come down. We remove the existing gutters and downspouts and haul them away. If the fascia behind them is rotted, you will see it before anything new goes up.
  • 4. Gutters are formed and hung. Each run is rolled to length in the driveway, carried up, and hung on snow-load hangers with the correct pitch. Corners are mitered and sealed, downspouts are set.
  • 5. Walkthrough and cleanup. Paul walks the finished job with you, and the crew leaves the site clean. Most homes are finished in one to two days, and the work carries a 20-year craftsmanship warranty.

What Determines the Cost of Seamless Gutters

Every roofline is different, which is why the estimate is done in person and in writing. These are the things that move the number.

Linear Feet of Gutter

The biggest factor. A simple ranch with four straight runs costs less than a two-story home with multiple gables, dormers, and returns.

Profile and Size

6-inch gutters use more material than 5-inch. Fascia-style profiles are taller and take more coil per foot than K-style.

Corners and Downspouts

Each mitered corner and each downspout adds labor. Complex rooflines with inside and outside corners take longer than long, straight eaves.

Height and Access

Second-story and steep-lot work takes more time and more ladder setups than a single-story home with level ground all the way around.

Removal and Repairs

Old gutter removal is included. Rotted fascia or damaged drip edge found during removal is priced separately and shown to you first.

Add-Ons

Firewise screens, heat cable, and downspout tie-ins to underground drainage can be done in the same visit and are quoted as line items so you can see each one.

Questions / 08

Seamless Gutter Questions

Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?

Most Central Oregon homes do well with 5-inch K-style. We recommend 6-inch when the roof has a steep pitch, long runs, or large roof planes that dump a lot of water into one gutter, which is common on metal roofs and big gables. Paul will tell you which one your roofline needs at the estimate.

How long does a seamless gutter installation take?

Most homes are finished in one to two days. The gutters are formed on site, so there is no waiting on a factory order, and we haul off the old gutters and clean up before we leave.

What is the difference between seamless gutters and the sectional gutters sold at hardware stores?

Sectional gutters come in 10-foot pieces that are joined with seams and sealant every few feet. Those seams are where leaks start, especially after a few Bend freeze and thaw cycles. Seamless gutters are rolled from coil stock in one continuous piece per run, so the only joints are at the corners, and we miter and seal those by hand.

Will seamless gutters hold up under Bend snow?

Yes, when they are hung correctly. We use snow-load hangers sized and spaced for Central Oregon snow, and screwed-in fastening rather than spikes, so gutters stay put when snow slides off the roof. Heat cable is available for rooflines that build ice.

Can you match my trim or roof color?

Almost always. The coil stock we run comes in more than 40 Sherwin-Williams factory finishes, from 30 Degree White to Black, Evergreen, and Rustic Copper. Bring a trim sample to the estimate or ask to see the color chart.

Do you remove the old gutters?

Yes. Removal of the old gutters and downspouts is part of the job, and we haul them away. If the fascia behind them is rotted, we will show you before we hang anything so it can be addressed first.

What does a seamless gutter estimate cost?

Nothing. Paul measures the roofline in person, goes over profile and color options, and gives you a real number with no pressure. Estimates are free everywhere in our service area.
